“Dance should speak in vivid images with strength and at the same time with beauty.”

From the professional division students at Boston School of Ballet, E. Virginia Williams created a small concert troupe, The New England Civic Ballet. The concert troupe performed at festivals and small venues throughout New England. Many of her former students, who had gone on to dance with professional companies in Europe and New York, returned as guest artists. Among those returning during that first year was Eleanor D'Antuono of The Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.
