  • White House Performance of Voyage to the Moon

    03 April 1967

    Boston Ballet company dancers appeared with The Opera Company of Boston at the White House for a special performance of the comic opera Voyage to the Moon accompanied by the United States Marine Band. The performance was sponsored by President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson in honor of Turkish President Cevdet Sunay and his wife.

     

    Dancing roles in Voyage to the Moon were Boston Ballet dancers, Carol Ravich, Geraldine Gagnon, June Perry, and Anamarie Sarazin.
