Altan, born in Khovd, Mongolia, trained with the Music and Dance College. He danced with the Mongolian National Ballet Theatre as a soloist from 2000-2007 and with Asami Maki Ballet in Japan in 2002. He has appeared as a guest artist and toured internationally with several different projects with Roland Petit.
Dugaraajoined Boston Ballet in 2008 as a member of the corps de ballet and Altan has won numerous awards at international competitions, including a gold medal in the2001 Asian Pacific International Ballet Competition in Japan, silver medal at the Arabesque International Ballet Competition in Perm, Russia, and bronze medals in the 2003 Japan International Ballet Competition and the 2005 International Ballet Competition in New York City.
Altan’s repertoire includes lead roles in Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, La Fille mal Gardee, Romeo and Juliet, and Afternoon of a Faun.
