Dusty Button was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At age 16, she moved to New York to train at the Jackie Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre, winning the bronze medal at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2006. In 2007, Button joined American Ballet Theater's second company, ABT II. The following year she joined the Royal Ballet School, graduating with honors and the Dame Ninette de Valois bursary.
In 2008, Button joined Birmingham Royal Ballet. During her time spent at Birmingham Royal Ballet she had the opportunity to perform many different roles including, David Bintley's Cinderella (Skinny, the evil stepsister); Sir Peter Wright's The Sleeping Beauty (Temperament Fairy); and Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room (Stomper), as well as numerous other roles.
Button has made guest appearances nationally and internationally, and has performed in galas around the country, most recently dancing for Ballet Hawaii's The Nutcracker and American Ballet Theatre's La Bayadére.
In addition to performing, Button has choreographed for Birmingham Royal Ballet - as well as for dancers participating in Youth America Grand Prix. She has been recognized and featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Dance Magazine, and Dance Europe.
