joined Boston Ballet II in 2013
Skyla Schreter, originally from Chappaqua, NY, received her primary ballet training at the School of American Ballet. In addition, she studied privately with Diana White and Kyra Nichols, as well as attended summer programs on full merit scholarship at Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell.
She has performed numerous children's roles with the New York City Ballet including George Balanchine's Mozartiana, Coppélia, The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Christopher Wheeldon's Scenes de Ballet. She danced a principal role in Susan Stroman's Double Feature with the New York City Ballet.
Schreter was invited by the State Ballet of Georgia under the direction of Nina Ananiashivili to dance Mozartiana at Jacob's Pillow. In addition to participating in several performances in the Works and Process Series at the Guggenheim Museum, she has performed in numerous Student Choreographic Workshops and Lecture Demonstrations for the School of American Ballet as well as the Annual SAB Workshop and the New York Choreographic Institute. Schreter joined Boston Ballet II in 2013.
