Peter Martins' Barber Violin Concerto is a series of three movements danced by two couples in various pas de deux, Set to music by Samuel Barber, the ballet conjures an array of movement styles - from lyrical, to energetic, to melancholy. The couples are clothed in all-white, reflecting the surreal sense of purity they develop through the work. |
