Originally from Pelham, NH, Courtney Lamont began her dance training at the age of three at the New England Dance Academy in Attleboro, MA. She graduated from the Lisa Pilato Dance Center in Dracut, MA and then went on to study dance at Dean College. As a dance major at Dean College, she was a member of both the Dance and Hip Hop teams and was the recipient of the Beryl Martin Class of 1983 Memorial award in Dance and Theater, given annually to an outstanding upperclassmen showing commitment in dance and academics.
Lamont represented Dean College’s School of Dance last year at the American College of Dance festival dancing in The Women Who Danced, choreographed by Jessica Pretty. She has studied under Jill Silverman, Laura Young and Gregory King.
Lamont was personally selected by Julianne O'Brien Pedersen, Dean of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College for the inaugural teaching partnership program between Boston Ballet School and Dean College.
