Jennifer Scott began studying dance at the age of four at Dance Prism in Concord, Massachusetts. Scott trained with Boston Ballet School from 1987 to 1995, performing in a number of Boston Ballet Company performances, including The Nutcracker.
Scott also attended Ballet Academy in Arlington, Massachusetts under Frances Kotelly and Bradford College, an audition-only company. Scott graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a degree in English communications.
Scott began teaching children’s creative dance and pre-ballet classes for Boston Ballet School in 2004 at the Salem YMCA as Boston Ballet looked to expand its presence on the North Shore. She is certified in Boston Ballet School’s Children’s Program curriculum, and has been responsible for teaching Children’s Program classes since the opening of the North Shore studio in 2009 before her promotion to full time in 2011. She helps build enrollment in the Children’s Program community and presents the annual Step-by-Step curriculum demonstration.
