Jenny Lawless began her formal ballet training at Northeast School of Ballet in Melrose, MA where she danced as a student and company member. She completed a summer intensive program at the Ailey School where she studied under Tracy Inman, Robert Atwood, Karen Arceaneaux and Carlos Dos Santos. In 2011 she received a bachelor’s of arts degree from Dean College where she graduated Magna Cum Lade and Phi Theta Kappa.
During her time as a dance major at Dean College, Lawless was involved with numerous productions as both a dancer and choreographer. Her interest in the arts led her to pursue a Master’s of Science degree in Arts Administration and a graduate certificate in fundraising management from Boston University. Throughout her studies, she completed extensive coursework in arts education and community outreach programming with a focus on underrepresented populations throughout the U.S and abroad. This coursework cumulated with a full-year internship working in the Adaptive Dance Program here at the Boston Ballet School.
Currently, Lawless teaches yoga, Pilates and barre based classes at fitness centers across the state and in the Children’s Program at Boston Ballet School.
